Béton Brunet limitée

The Brunet Group is a leader in the field of infrastructure products and services that now has over 400 employees in more than twenty locations in Canada and the United States serving the Southeasthern and international markets.

Brunet Group is a multitude of family businesses that began in the 1920s in Ormstown (Quebec), under the management of Romeo Brunet. The first concrete pipe was produced by R. Brunet Concrete limited in 1923 of which is an ancestor of the Brunet Group that was founded in 1926 by Mr. Romeo Brunet.

In 1955, the two sons of Romeo, Lucien and Roger, took over as head of the company and moved it to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. They incorporated the company under the name Les Tuyaux de Béton Brunet Limited. Several investments were accomplished between the end of the 1950s and the end of the 1990s. At the end of 1990s, the company became the largest producer of concrete piping in Quebec with having been able to expand with the evolution of technology.

In 1998, the company went through an important phase of development when Bernard, Lucien's son took over as head of the company. Les tuyaux de béton Brunet limited becomes Béton Brunet limited and the company achieves substantial success. The subsequent acquisition of competitors as well as interrelated companies made the company one that now manages more than dozen affiliated businesses related to this infrastructure.

The initial structure was composed of Les Tuyaux de Béton Brunet, and then were added Les Produits de Béton Casaubon (manholes and sumps), Distribution Brunet (distribution of sewer, water and drainage products), Béton Brunet 2001 (ready-mix), U.S. Construction Supply Corp. and Concrete Products of the Palm Beaches (serving the international market) and Produits de Béton Soulanges (septic tanks of all sizes and various specialized products) were added.

More recently, the company acquired Next Polymers in Prescott, Ontario, which is a factory producing PVC pipes, as well as B & X Industries a worldwide recognized manufacturer of cyclones and other products made from machined and welded steel. The newest acquisition of the Brunet Group is the Société de Services en Signalisation SSS which, as its name suggests, specializes in signalling equipment necessary for construction sites.

With an evolution that is far from over, the Brunet Group’s growth continues in accordance with its business vision.
